After a relatively long dry spell of lovely weather, it finally decided to rain.\u00a0 And oftentimes in Vancouver, when it rains, it pours!\u00a0 Despite the wet weather, the artist reception was well attended, and I would like extend a warm thank you to all of my friends, family, and Vancouver art lovers who came out to support my exhibition and me.\u00a0 There were some familiar faces who I haven’t seen in years that came out last night and also some new faces, and it was great to meet and see everyone.<\/p>\n
Many people have asked me about Coda: Self-portrait in the studio<\/em>.\u00a0 I can assure you, I went through my fair share of tiny little brushes with this painting.\u00a0 I worked on this painting in layers, like all of my work, however, because of all the small details found throughout the piece, I also had to paint it section by section.\u00a0 I decided to document day by day what I worked on, as I thought it would be interesting to see the work progress, and I’ve compiled a short video clip which shows the progression of the piece…check it out!<\/p>\n
