It has been a bit quiet on the blog front this past month. \u00a0I’ve just returned from a two and a half week trip to Europe for my sister’s wedding in Positano, Italy. \u00a0It was a beautiful wedding in a stunning locale, on the Amalfi Coast. \u00a0I was lucky enough to be able to travel around with my mother, making stops in Rome, Madrid and London, before and after the wedding. \u00a0While it was a vacation of sorts, my brain was usually on overdrive from trying to soak in as much as I could, when there is so much to see in the city itself, and then all the art on top of that. \u00a0I usually experience sensory overload on these types of trips!<\/p>\n

I thought I’d share some photos from my trip, along with some images of art that inspired me. \u00a0My head is buzzing with ideas now for future artwork…!<\/p>\n

So today’s post will feature pictures from the first couple of days of my trip in Italy, where we visited Rome and the Vatican. \u00a0I’ve been before, a few years ago, but I just had to bring my mother to see the Vatican. \u00a0The museum and St. Peter’s Basilica are amazing and filled with so much art. \u00a0And to see the Sistine Chapel again – so worth it.<\/p>\n
