I’m busy in the studio everyday here in Reykjavik working on my drawing, and on the few sunny days, I’ve walked around town taking photos. Reykjavik is a very colourful city, as I’ve posted photos of all the different coloured buildings previously here<\/a>, but it’s also a city with a lot of graffiti and street art.<\/p>\n

Coming from a city where you don’t see much graffiti, I definitely noticed the wide variety of styles and subjects on the walls of buildings here. Considering how small the city is, it does feel like around every street corner you will see a painted wall. Alongside the graffiti are lots of murals too.<\/p>\n

Mushrooms, anyone?<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

This city really is very beautiful, from the colours of nature around me, in the mountains and oceans, to the buildings, like the iridescent Harpa building or the stained glass windows of the churches, to the painted outer walls of buildings. There is simply too much to see and experience. I have two more weeks to soak it all in. Here is just a small selection of the graffiti and wall art that can be found around Reykjavik.<\/p>\n
