I’m writing this on the last night of my stay in Reykjavik, as I return home tomorrow. It has been an absolutely amazing experience here, from the people that I’ve met and become friends with, to the places I’ve visited and the time that I’ve had to concentrate on my work. I’m very thankful for this month in Iceland. I have many memories and friendships that will last me a lifetime.<\/p>\n

With my Icelandic adventure over, I’m looking forward to being back in Vancouver for some very exciting things coming up in the next little while.<\/p>\n

September 27th edition of The Georgia Straight<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

I’m also very happy to say that the group exhibition at the Surrey Art Gallery,\u00a0Scenes of Selves, Occasions for Ruses<\/em>, has been reviewed by Robin Laurence in the September 27th edition of The Georgia Straight<\/a>, with specific mention of a couple of my paintings. Not only that, but the print edition features my painting,\u00a0Self-Portrait (The Past Five Years).<\/em><\/p>\n

As I’m still in Reykjavik at the moment, I haven’t been able to get my hands on an actual copy of the paper, so I’ve had to ask my boyfriend to take a photo for me first. Once I get back, I’ll scan a copy and post that on my webpage, but in the meantime, here’s a look at the print copy of the review:<\/p>\n
