I will be showing a drawing from my pretty boys kill me series as part of Drawing Expo 13 at Dynamo Arts. After a brief hiatus, Drawing Expo is reemerging for its 4th exhibition. Its mandate is to present a diverse spectrum of artists from Canada and abroad working in the field of contemporary drawing. The exhibition will host a carefully selected group of artists and will be held at the new Dynamo Arts Association Project Space in Vancouver, BC. As Drawing Expo‘s curator and founder Gabriel Deerman is currently living and working in Doha, Qatar, this year’s exhibition will be curated by Ehren Salazar and Nathan Jones.
Drawing Expo is a celebration of the imagination and fantasy that flourishes within the transference of the artist’s idea to the drawn surface. New worlds are projected by this exciting medium. The artists involved challenge disciplinary borders and definitions with their varying approaches to the work.
