I awoke to find out this morning that I somehow made it onto the cover of the Georgia Straight! I was expecting a small photo in a pull-out supplement section, so you can imagine my surprise when I heard the news.
The article inside focuses on two painters taking part in the Crawl this year, Fiona Ackerman (who just so happens to be a fellow finalist in the Kingston Art Prize) and me. Thanks to Janet Smith for the great article and interview, and thanks also to Trevor Brady for the photograph! The issue will be out all week all around the city, so grab one, have a read, and then come to the Crawl this weekend and support local arts in Vancouver.
My work is also featured on the Vancouver Sun website in their story about the Crawl. My painting, The Return Home, is shown along side the article, however this particular painting is not actually at my studio this weekend as it is currently in Nova Scotia as part of the Kingston Art Prize touring exhibition.
